I’m truly glad that it doesn’t hurt everyone as bad as it hurt me. I got the Mirena and it was some of the worst pain I’ve been in in my life. The excruciating procedure itself, the rest of the day, and hell — the rest of whole damn year. I hesitate to tell people just how bad it hurt because it really did impact my life for the better, and I want others to be able to experience that as well.

I recently had it “get lost” and had to get it removed, definitely not by choice. I’m debating getting another one again and the pain is the only reason I haven’t ran to the doctor yet.

Maybe I’ll try more preventative measures and just do it. Anyway, thanks for the perspective and the ideas!
