I absolutely agree that believing in God gives people hope that they wouldn’t otherwise have. What I expect in return from all the people in my life who believe in God, is a mutual respect and understanding that I don’t personally need that hope — I’m happy and satisfied without it.

Anyone who knows me would explain that I’m the most life-loving soul out there. I’ve been through extreme loss as well, but I still believe that I control my own destiny.

I would never want to take away the hope from other people if they need that. I just want other people to acknowledge that atheists and agnostics perhaps just don’t need that hope for their own happiness.
